The women’s Amstel Gold Race is a one-day race held in the Netherlands. It has only been raced 8 times despite first running in 2001. As of 2022 it is the only one-day race hosted in the Netherlands that is currently part of the women’s World Tour series. The route is the same each year, starting in Maastricht and finishing in Berg en Terblijt. It is held on the same day as the men’s event but covers a shorter distance.
No rider has ever won the event twice. As of 2022 Dutch riders have won 5 of the 8 races.
Amstel Gold Race 2022
The 8th edition of the Amstel Gold Race was held on 10 April 2022. It was the 7th event of the 2022 World Tour. The winner was Marta Cavalli. It was the first win on the World Tour series for the Italian rider.
Amstel Gold Race 2023 Preview
The 2023 race will be held on 16 April 2023. It will be race 12 of 30 on the World Tour calendar.
