Giro D’Italia Donne is a women’s stage race held in Italy. It is commonly labelled a women’s Grand Tour alongside La Vuelta Feminina and Tour de France Femmes.
Giro Donne 2022
The 33rd edition of the Giro D’Italia Donne started in Cagliari on 30 June 2022 and finished in Padova on 10 July 2022. A total of 144 riders were named on the official start list, representing 24 teams and 30 nationalities.
Giro Donne 2022 Route
The 2022 Giro Donne covered a distance of 1007 km over ten stages. The stages included one individual time trial, two flat stages, three mountain stages, and four hilly stages. There was one rest day on 3 July.

Giro Donne 2022 Results
The winner of the Giro Donne 2022 was Annemiek van Vleuten. It was the Dutch cyclist’s third Giro Rosa after winning in 2018 and 2019. Van Vleuten was also the stage winner on Stage 3 and Stage 7, while Kristen Faulkner, Elisa Balsamo, and Marianne Vos also won two individual stages each.

Giro Donne Preview 2023
While it’s too early to predict who will take the Giro Rosa in 2023 it will be Annemiek van Vleuten’s final season in the peloton and she will no doubt be looking to retire in style.
Giro Donne 2021
The rebranded Giro D’Italia Donne had 10 stages between 2 July 2021 and 11 July 2021. This was the only year the race has not been part of the World Tour series. Anna van der Breggen won her fourth Giro Rosa, and also topped the points classification.
Giro Rosa 2020
The 2020 race was the final year of being branded as the Giro Rosa. The race was shorted to 9 stages after being postponed to September due to COVID-19. The winner of the general classification was Anna van der Breggen, with Marianne Vos taking out the points classification.
