Women cycling at the Strade Bianche

Strade Bianche Donne

The Strade Bianche Donne is a women’s one-day race held in Italy. It has been raced 8 times since the first event in 2015. The route is the same each year and travels 136 km through the Chianti region of Tuscany, starting and finishing in Siena. It is traditionally held on the same day as the men’s Strade Bianche but over a shorter distance, and is often called the Strade Bianche Rosa to differentiate it. The race has been part of the women’s World Tour calendar since 2016.

Only Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten has won the race more than once (2019, 2020).

Strade Bianche Donne 2022

The 8th edition of the race was held on 5 March 2022 and was the opening race of the World Tour. The winner was Lotte Kopecky. It was the first time a Belgian rider has won the event.
