The Tour of Chongming Island is a women’s stage race held in China. It has been raced 13 times since it started in 2007. The route and distance varies each year but it typically takes place over 3 stages within the boundaries of the Chongming Xincheng Park. The event has not run since 2019 but is scheduled to return in 2023.
Between 2010 and 2015 a one-day race was held as part of the women’s World Cup (now the World Tour). This was due to UCI only allowing single-stage events in the World Cup series. When the World Tour replaced the World Cup in 2016 the Tour of Chongming Island stage race was included in the series, and the one-day World Cup event was cancelled.
Four riders have each won the stage race twice: Li Meifang (2007, 2008), Chloe Hosking (2009, 2016), Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (2010, 2011), and Kirsten Wild (2014, 2015).
