Tour de France Femmes is a women’s stage race held in France. It usually starts shortly after the men’s Tour de France. It is commonly referred to as a Grand Tour of women’s cycling, alongside Giro D’Italia Donne and La Vuelta Feminina.
Until 2022 the women’s equivalent to the Tour de France was a one day race called La Course by Le Tour de France. This annual race followed a different route each year. It has been part of the women’s cycling World Tour calendar since 2016.
Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten won the first edition of the multi day race in 2022, as well as twice winning La Course (2017, 2018), the predecessor of Le Tour Femmes. Another Dutch rider, Marianne Vos, also won La Course twice (2014, 2019).
