The women’s Tour of Flanders is a one-day race held in Belgium. It has been raced 19 times since starting in 2004 and has been part of the World Tour series every year it has run. The race begins and ends in the city of Oudenaarde in the Flemish region of Belgium. The event is called Ronde van Vlaanderen in the local language and is known simply as De Ronde to locals.
The most successful riders at the event share two wins each: Mirjam Melchers-van Poppel (2005, 2006), Judith Arndt (2008, 2012), and Annemiek van Vleuten (2011, 2021). As of 2022 Dutch riders have won 8 of the 19 races.
Tour of Flanders 2022
The 19th edition of the women’s Tour of Flanders was held on 3 April 2022. It was the 6th event of the 2022 World Tour. The winner was Lotte Kopecky. 2021 winner Annemiek van Vleuten was runner up.
