The Women’s Tour is a stage race held in the United Kingdom. It has been running since 2014, and has been part of the women’s World Tour since 2016. Initially the route comprised 5 stages but since 2019 it has featured 6 stages. The equivalent men’s event is the Tour of Britain.
The only rider to win the race twice is the English Lizzie Deignan (2016, 2019).
The Women’s Tour 2022
The 8th edition of the women’s La Vuelta started in Colchester on 6 June 2022 and finished in Oxford on 11 June 2022. It was race 14 of 23 on the World Tour and covered a distance of 736.3 km through England and Wales. The winner of the General classification was the Italian Elisa Longo Borghini.
